90 of the honl. corporatn. cross out for the Inds. residing in London besides Mr. Hoare lost all his building & other cost which he had provided for the entertainmt. & employt. of those Inds. which was considl. About this time 1675 23 Feb ( the genl. court then sitting) there were several motions & applications made to them, touching the poor chrn. Inds. at Deer I. some would have them all destroyd., others, sent out of the county. but some there were of more moderation, alledging that those Inds. & their ancestors had made a covenant with the Eng. about 30 years since, wherein mutual production & subjection was agreed and that it was expedient to search the records to see & considr. that agreemt. & whether those Inds. had broken ye Lawe or had deserved to be proceede agt. in so harsh & severe a manner, as some proposed; upon which motion the records were searched, & it was found upon record as follows.
