Victoria & myself have been home the most of the winter. Frances is in Springfield Mass. We expect her home in April She left home last Oct, It has made the winter seem longer than usual! Are you all married & your husbands in the Army? I feel some anxious to know. Frances has been taking & giving lessons on the 'Melodian" & thinks she shall like music as an additional branch in teaching. Victoria will teach this summer, & I some think Frances will too. While I am trying to learn Dress Making have learnt to cut by 'Diagram' hope it will not be an entire fuiture, my health quite good. How is yours? My brothers wife was very sick & her sister came from Mass. & took care of her last spring she has a fine little girl They call her "Abby Alice" You may think strange my wishing to know if you was able to be a Nurse, But I thought she was such a great woman if she did well you would be just the one, her babe was brought up on a bottle has never made but little trouble My paper is nearly full, so I must close. I should be happy to see you & your sisters too. With much love to you I remain your friend Cordelia to. Mary

March 31 Yesterday I listened to a Mr Abby a Miinister who preached from the text unclear What he said I like much. The affect of this discours was to aid a society founded to introduce the Bible as a seperate study & no student can graduate from any school without thorough understanding the Bible (I should have said Aecumenical school) He said this had been neglected & mentioned several cases where he had called they could not find the unclear unclear he was going to read. Otherwise they were accomplished scholars.
