a great many fires all about us, mostly in the forests, four or five buildings burned in Concord week before last. and last week all the business part of Suncook (near Concord) was burned. Every body and every thing was glad to see the heavens opened and rain descending. I wonder if you have had any?
I have "Sunny Memories" . we are going to have it read aloud. I have been reading Madam Roland We got Sept. Harper Yesterday. How much H.N. B. I mean [image] tells of his[Leuou?] possessions and very interesting tales hey are I think. August is all gone is it not and Autumn is here. We can hardly wish time to hasten even though we are away from each other. and you away from darling Mayo Little Percin is a good deal better now. I tried to have Sabra help all she could but it was a problem I wished very much I could solve whether or not she was a help or a trouble to the good people there. This was all the trouble I had while there. I feared we were all making work for dear Lucy and Mallie. I could not help enjoying myself though after all we all had some very pleasant hours & days together but I could not bear to think of being a burden myself, baby or girl. I should not have remained as long, had they not seemed to desire it. It did not seem but a few days, either, to me. Thermometer up to 84[degrees] to day [2 1/2 o'clock ) little wind and rather uncomfortable.
Last Sabbath was communion here full house. Father preached. John Parker up and [unclear] [unclear] with Miss Stinson. He is building a fine house for his bride. Mrs Raymond & Her aunt here Sabbath day. She is not well. Looks shadow like. I must stop or not mail this to day Your loving Nettie.
