Mother said when he could do nothing else he would come and kiss her. He is capital in sickness - seems to be half a woman at such times. Samuel & I rode down to Hampden a day or two since to see about a place for James, to go to school - had a nice little confab with Mr. Tash. His sister is there, Eveline Bartlett assistant the coming term. It is not yet decided to go to Hampden - we can find no opportunity for him to work for his board, and board is very high.
