Brother Joseph
Lucy wrote you a note a day or two since in regard to your boarding here at Mrs. Crosby's you can board here a week or two and be quite comfortably situated. I cannot at present tell when we shall go to keeping house. I have tho't some of building here but at present feel rather off the hooks about it. I have been trying since I came from Milo to obtain a copy of Ireland's a/c from Dea. McDonald. but have not yet succeeded. I have spoken to Eliab who promised to get it till I am ashamed to mention it; he has seen McDonald once or twice but somehow does not get the a/c I have been to his office quite a number of times but never find him. We had an order come into the Mill about a week ago which will confirm me to the Mill for two or three weeks to come all the time so if our Hermon business must be attended to I do not see but you will have to do it; I suppose there can be another continuance with but little cost and we can manufacture the logs as at present, which Jewett will do by the ? and require but little attention our other business I know but little about sometimes I go to Bangor in the evening but Eliab is always busy at Browns Thurston has paid some money I know not how much The Brandywine was under repairs a time ago do not know her whereabouts at present; have not seen Thurston
