By the time we arrived there they had driven them back two miles. The day was oppressively hot, severall of our men were Sun Struck, we were kept on the move untill noon skirmishing over, the hills, when we were ordered to lay down in a deep ravine in a position where we could not fire a gun for fear of shooting our own men in the advance.
