Dear Brother Issac

Your letter Nov. 19th was gladly rec'd last night, as also the intelligence that Jos. is going to Boston Thursday, so I made great haste & good speed & finished your shirts today to send by him. I have not time to do them up & perhaps 'tis just as well, as they would doubtless get tumbled on the way . Just deliver them to your Washerwoman. Sorry I had not time to whiten them. I have not stitched & fiddledidumed them as I might have done, but made them perfectly plain for loss of time. I hope they will fit & suit you - please let me know. You know folks that keep home always find considerable to do, even with small families, & fixing, getting ready & more etc. makes me somewhat hurried. We have expected all along to move to Bangor the first of Dec. Samuel bought a house for 700.00 day before Thanksgiving, a few roads this side of the Bangor House on the opposite side the St. but sold it again in two days for $50. more than he gave. A house in the Jewett block on Third St. is now hired for our use, but appearances & advices of a later date seem to indicate that it is probably best & that we probably shall spend the Winter in Milo; that is, I myself. I will be there, & our husband will be scaling as he was last winter. His Father & Mother want to go to N. Hampshire two or three months, & want Samuel & I to go and take care of Mehitable & John during their absence! You see we can save rent, firewood etc. and be doing up visiting enough to last a long time, all the while! I shall divide myself between
