which it has done every day since March came in. Storms enough this month perhaps to make up the winter's deficiency. Very mild, pleasant winter, throughout. The little cottage at Hampden is not on the Bangor road - about half a mile from it on the back road. I feel in a great hurry for you to come home. Have not quite forgotten how you look! "Might & Right" spoken if in a letter some time since, I have seen -very nice. I want to know the meaning of "O tempora! O! mores! but am most ashamed to ask for it seems to me I ought to know. I have known and do now, only I can't possibly think of it! Please tell me in your next. Immediately after receiving "Fitch's Lectures" I wrote a long letter to Dr. Fitch, stating all my maladies etc. but - concluded not to send it! I would be very glad of his shoulder harns. Just what I need, I think - Beneficial to any one I should suppose. Mr. Sewall preached here last sabbath. Only preaching we have had since last fall. No more for eight weeks - that I know of when he will be here again. He is a very good man I think - means well -studies a good deal & tries to do all the good he can and certainly improves very much in his preaching - but he is not the man to do good in Milo. He has a very unhappy way of expressing his ideas - so that it seems to me some of his sermons must do more hurt than good and no way at all of expressing his feelings! My sheet is nearly full - Mother will write some I guess, so I'll leave off. Almeda and children are well. Children getting along nicely in their studies. Lizzie has really "took to larnin" a good deal - and is a sweet little singer - not as babyish as last summer. Jane learns fast - is really bright & quick in Arithmetic. Ought to have a new Geography - Well good bye, write soon. Affect.
