Smith should have had his command. some of the Maj Generals are getting ashamed of themselves Fremont and Buell have resigned Ord has been mustered out of the service. it is a pity that McClellen dose not resign and not live off of a Government that he shows no inclination to assist the Army. and myself for one are very glad to hear of the Nomination of Lincoln for President it will show the Rebels that there will be Know change in the policy of our administration
