getting the babies ready - One would cry & then the other - thus keeping a continual song - sometimes breaking out in full choress - but we finished then at last & started - pleasant ride & good visit - baby never cried or did one naughty thing while we were gone

Wednesday 27 July - 

 Mayo eight weeks old this day - grows finely - I read Fowler's books about all day - many good things in them - valuable unclear as I think - which it is well for all to know and practice  Isaac came about noon - me right glad - and he seems as well as when he left Monday  Baby & I went to the office just before supper
