I write to say that I have come to the conclusion to keep? only a fortnight longer that is, one week after this. - I do not change board but should have gone to Mr. Seavy's if I had, which would have been very unpleasant as he has 14 or 15 men boarders. There are several reasons why I decide to leave, - the school has been so long that the scholars have got tired of studying and will I think be likely to pass a better examination in a fortnight, than a month, several have to stay at home so that older ones can go to the Academy. but the most cogent reason of all is, I do not want to stay here another month, and I had rather earn the three dolls. another time. - I shall close a week from tomorrow (Friday) night, and I suppose Isaac is intending to commence at school then, and it will come right to come then. I have sent for a doz. and half of juvenile tracts by Mr. Prentiss, who goes to Bangor tomorrow, an afraid I shall not have money enough - I have bought a pair of shoes for, 75 - but I can pay Mr. Prentiss after I have closed my school, and if I do not get the money, whoever comes after me, must let me have ten or twelve cents --- Young Gates has come here to board and takes my chamber, I have the spare bedroom which I must give up if they have company, - they want Isaac should board here, and I don't believe he would find a better place on the whole; she inquired whether he had made any arrangements about board - but he can decide about it when he comes - they have above 70 scholars - an unusual number to begin with.
