I do believe College to me in my circumstances costs more than it comes to. It would perhaps have been better for me to have been away. The principle advantages of College are the 'name of it,' and the getting acquainted; To be sure tis pretty good place to study & the libraries are very valuable, but most do not learn more at College in a year than they might in six months at an academy, and the benefits of the library might be had elsewhere. How invaluable to you at home would the smallest of these libraries here be, or half of it. I really wish Lucy could have some of the advantages.
