can keep her a while. We have all be to Old Town today for a ride. It is nearly nine -we are all tired, but I thought I must say a few words to Mother. Carry does not seem very well tonight. Nettie has decided not to wait for Anna but to go next Monday to Dunbarton. Last evening Mr. & Mrs. Shepard, their oldest daughter & Mr. Egbert Smythe, (who now preaches 1/2 time for us,) took tea here, tomorrow we feel obliged to invite Mr. Harlow's family & Mrs. Blood -we wanted to wait till you came, but have been nowhere hardly with Nettie & had no company & wanted to have them before she went home. We hired washing & ironing this week. Nettie send much love - says she feels wicked to go away without seeing you more, as she expected. I hope to have a little good time now I have got a girl that can keep the fire going without my telling her every time to put it a stick ? Well I am tired - much love - good bye
