13th Visit_ 10_ August_ Hot south wind and extremely warm_ 94°_ Left home at 9-30 and went as usual by the cable and J.C.R_Road?_ Our first stop was at the Fine Arts building where we studied some pieces of Italian sculpture for a time and then looked at the Austrian Exhibit of paintings_ And also those by the Society of Polish Artists, which occupy but one room_ Some good pictures are in both exhibits_ We spent an hour then left for the Liberal Arts b'd'g_ On our way passed through the unclear- b'd'g - again_ Stopped awhile to rest, and looked at some life-size figures of Indians in native costume_ We ate our lunch in the middle aisle of the large b'd'g_ And I talked awhile with a pleasant lady (a stranger) from Syracuse N.Y.
