become of him; the opr saw him talking to Hope late yesterday afternoon; the night clerk Hubbard says he came in last eve and said he had to go home as some of his folks were ill, but they dont seem to believe it, he left early this morning. There is a general feeling among most of the men stopping here, that the men now on trial will have a hard time to get clear, but are very guarded what they say in regard to the reason why they think so. The opr tried to get one of the Circulars today that Hope has been sending out, but so far he has been unsuccessful, but will perhaps get one tomorrow. Respectfully Yours Pinkerton Nat. Det.
