were going to the Park I and Hinckson then went to the unclear House at 2pm Paul Roberts Frank White and K Welch came to the Hotel and asked Hinckson and Opr to go to Highland park. They told Opr that most of the boys were out there and they had plenty to drink. They then took as car and went to the park and met a large crowed of strikers laying in the shade, they had plenty of beer. They went out boat riding also danced at the boat house. Opr says most of the strikers were intoxicated and did not speak about the strike. The met two new C.B.&Q men but did not molest them. At 530pm it began to rain very. hard. Op and Hickson took a car back to town after stupper. They visited Sallons on Peoria Il. and the Square. They met a great no of strikers. Op noticed no strange or new faces. It rained very hard all evening. Op remained up town with Hinckson until 1045pm when they returned the Hotel. Hinckson was very near intoxicated. Opr took him to his room and retired for the night.

Thursday July 5th 1888 Opr left the Hotel at 930am accompanied by Hinckson Boy and Itraubing went to Gardls Saloon when Opr bought the drinks. They then went to the hall where they met Updike Maylee and Riley Bros. They said that all the men will be paid off this afternoon. They all stood around the entrance of the Hall until 10:30 am when Op and Hinckson Updike and Riley went to Moors Saloon where they played several games of cards.
