53 We then went to the Cabinet of Antiquities some Roman, Grecian, Egyptian, Etrurian, Northern, Southern, Eastern, & Western) utensils of every description which were singular--had a nice drive in & around the public walk it was pretty--had dinner & then went to another gallery where there were some pretty pictures by Guido & others from thence had a drive to see the arched way which extends from the Town to the St a Maria del Lucia ----- Friday 28th Covigliaio ----- Left Bologna at half past 7 Vetturini housed & mules but were very often compeled to add oxen to draw us up the hills - stopped for dinner at Lojano from thence we ascend to Pietra Mala after passing this village we saw the fires of Pietra Male, which are very singular & are said to unclear constantly from a spot about 10 or 12 feet across a piece of rocky ground - a high wind extinguishes them but they light readily when it ceases the flame
