it was Unclear made of skin on? or? parchments--with a Insert Unclear figure of the Madonna & a Spanish inscription stating that it belonged to Cortez. There is a very fine collection of old relics here--Returned home, took dinner & spent the evening at Dr. Skiltons, playing card and looking at curiousities of which they have quite a number. The feather pictures here are quite handsome.
