one of the men gathered a small kitchen pan of the hail which kept the most part of the day--the morning cloudy. 4 men let out in 2 canoes order to go down to the head of the falls to kill buffalow for skins to cover our crafts and meat unclear some men employed finishing off the iron boat. others drying skins &c the day proved clear. light showers in the afternoon. the hunters did not return this evening.
