of water in the City, but then was quite a profusion of flowers. I there saw blue phlox 10 feet in height & forming a very large bush. We have felt nothing of the oppression of which so many complain, caused by our great altitude (7000 feet) This Hotel was at one time the home of Emperor Unclear & is quite extensive, there is a little court just under my window filled with water & all kinds of birds have their home here among them a flock of quail. There are three? summer houses, where if we choose, we can take our meals-"Aimee"? &
