Clinton May 5th 1852 Dear Robert I hope you are doing well with your business as you do not come to see us the weather being so bright. You are doubtless? anxious to know how Sarah is getting along she is gaining but quite weak yet. I suppose she is quite as well as we might expect in the time. we received some unclear and some oyster from you yesterday. I cooked oyster yesterday and two today they were very good. The unclear took in the night she liked it very much. Today we had more oysters and two unclear oranges. She says what a good Brother. We are much obliged to you if you would like to know what she would like next.A few graham crackers and a couple of lemons we will have enough of oyster now if not we will let you know. When she will be able to eat other things she will get tired of them. I can not see to write well as I have no glasses. Sarah send her love with mine. Yr Aff Mother Eliz Everett
