42 Vale Street Denbigh North Wales G.B. July 20th 1883 My dear Eddie I meant to have sent you a postal before this but my time has been very much occupied during college - all my old friends have been calling to see me, and I have held receptions every day. I think I am continuing again, but I feel the change of climate. I have unclear fire in my parlour every day - I did not enjoy the voyage. it was cold, misty & rainy almost all the way & I did not feel at all well - I had a comfortable state room, but did not care for my room mate, a unclear prim scotch woman. I would have liked an American much better, she gave me the "blues" whenever I was with here - well! I am very comfortably situated here with the kindest people - I hope all in Remsen are well. please give my kindest love to my cousins.
