Inclosed you will find a rosebud from a rosebush in our garden.

My Dear Cousin Jennie, Perhaps you will think its very unkind in one not to have written to you before this late date but to tell the truth I have been very busy for the past two months and have had very little time for letter-writing when I was in the mood for it. I as well as the rest of the family were very sorry indeed that you and cousin Anna could not be present at the wedding
