Large Church of St. Anne de Beaupre Much like other Roman churchs. Pillars of clouded? & fluted Crown fig. St. Anne holding crowned child in an arm (St. Anne gold crowned) stands on marble pillar before chancel rail. Pillar thickly ornamented about top with gold hearts. Altar canopied with marble canopy resting on fluted white pillars, Corinthian style. Chapels at sides, the usual statues, right and left hand shrines. Votive lights sway? in swinging candelabra of prismatic glass, with brass sockets, on more so they look like swings in air; Seats unpaneled?, old, primitive, not rough, but exceedingly plain. People coming and going. now French women in sacks are leaving petti cards her bare foot showing through sole of her stocking, kneel together, Lame people dragging in Well dressed man kneels in front of peasant in moccasin boots with unclear in scarlet handkerchiefs, All cluster around St. Anne's shrine (the pillar shrine)
