A pleasant day and very dull in the office. Nothing doing. At night called upon Mrs Parker. The girls were abed & I did not see them. Election in the book for cashier. Owen was elected as I learn? Holden was up & played Col Jach?? at night - unclear Institute in town & the School Marms are as thick as Blackbeard in March. Found the note & went against L J Marman for which I had looked so long
