November Saturday 21 1863 Cleared off pleasant no rain Wrote a letter to sisters Eunice & Sarah__ called on Mrs Miller & had a very pleasant chat of an hour or two__ one of our men from [bo Daves?] shot by one of the guards[unclear] ["Osd_ Stores?] Justifiable I think from all I can learn_ We are out of [unclear] & stock starving Sunday 22
Pleasant day __ Wrote a letter to Sherman Lieut Sabin called and we spent a pleasant hour together__ Sent our horses out to graze_ no [unclear] _ Paid Delice & Sarah servants each $2.00_ Had dress parade & afterward had Articles of War read to the Regiment__ To morrow the Reg is to be inspected by Lieut Sabin_- Inspection of the Post_ Had disappointed expectations__ My boy Robt off up town & I mad[word underlined]
