cut off th Nov 10th 1779 Dear Sir I Recd a Letter from smudged your Behalf Dated the 1st? Oct (suppose it should be the 1st Novr) Respecting Hatts - - he Desires me to Procure Two thousand Felts in the Whole & have them bound & have a Pewter Button - As part of them is gone forward should think the Whole hat Better be Bound at Middletown if agreeable to you I have signed for one thousand of the Felt & fear some of them that I havt paid for may fail as the price has Risen - am afraid I shall be obliged to go as high as Twenty dollars for some to make up the Two thousand & the Beaver & Carton will be higher than those I sent forward - Mr Hubbard Desired me to get Twice as many of Beaver & Cartons is what I had sent on -
