Oriskany, July 3, 1863 Dear Mary, I was quite disappointed last night not to receive a letter from hom. I hope one will certainly come to-night. I don't hardly think we will go to Rome unless somebody comes to go with us. I received the Cen. yesterday afternoon. It was very welcome here. I hope we will see some of you to-morrow. When the next letter is sent to me, if it will not be too much trouble, I would like to have you send the pattern of your head-dress. Also if you come down, and can conveniently, please bring a pattern of the Mocs. ? Basket. Mary Ann Roberts would like to make one. Please get
