In "Greenwood" we saw the monument erected to Lee, [?] Jackson, Polk and A S Johnson by the Ladies of [this State?]. It has a [?] of each of these officers [-and- crossed out-] on the ends & on the top is a [statue] of a soldier with arms, coat & cape &resting on his gun. Bought Japan plums & dates.
