We received Aunt Marys last letter last Monday. Well. Election has passed and I was not elected County Superintendent. So I wrote you before I did not expect to be elected. About two months ago their was a Miss Borbes appointed to the office- (the old superintendant having resigned) and she and her parents were old residents of the county and she naturally expected to receive the nomination on the republican ticket, but I was almost unanimously nominated. Libbie's brother Will was a candidate in the same convention for County Treas. but lost the nomination on the ground
