Lord's part, that Israel never enjoyed that high degree of temporal prosperity, wh. he promised us t. consequence of their obedience, but it was wholly owing to their deficiecy in not doing his commandts not furnishing the little upon wh. t. reward was promised. So now, it is no want of faithfulness in GoD to his promises, that his childrn, do not enjoy, as much temporal felicity, as t. actual possesion of all outward things could afford: but it is wholly owing to their dificiency in obedience to t precepts of t. gospel, their not being holy.
