                                                                                                                                            Cherokee Agency,

Sir, June 2d, 1835

    I take the liberty to request the favor of you to report to the Hon Secretary of War, the accompanying Documents, as the expression  of sentiment on the part of the Cherokee people, of the mode of paying the annuity due the nation & to whom. 
    Having been informed that the payment of this money will be made through you, it is to be hoped that the Department will transmit the same to you without further delay, with instructions to pay the same over to Mr. John Martin, the  Treasurer of the Nation.
