SWIM TO-NIGHT AT SINAI

A.A.F. Will Hold Its First Big Tank Meet for 1919.

"Everybody in the game," the motto of the Amateur Athletic federation, will be prominent to-night in the natatorium of Sinai Center at 4633 Grand boulevard. The occasion will be the first A.A.F. indoor swimming meet of the year and, through the energetic efforts of George Eckert, the Sinai coach, give high schools, two social centers, two Y.M.C.A.'s and two public park natatoriums will have aquatic talent in the tourney. Numeric- ally speaking, there will be 133 contest- ants, of whom twenty-three are girls. The high schools sending representa- gives are Hyde Park, Froebel, Harrison Technical, Schurz and Loyola academy. The other organizations whose colors will be in evidence are the Chicago Hebrew institute, Independence Park, West Side Y.M.C.A.. Central Y.M.C.A., Jack- son natatorium and Sinai Social Center. The last named will have the largest squad in the meet, Eckert having entered two or more swimmers in every event on the program. The order of events includes fifteen numbers - eight in the championship class, two in the secondary division, two in the junior section and three for the women. Those in the championship sec- ion are a 40 yard swim. 100 yard swim, 220 yard swim, 100 yard breast stroke, 100 yard back stroke, fancy diving, a relay race, and plunge for distance. A 40 yard and 100 yard swim are secondary and junior events. For the women, a 40 yard swim, 40 yard breast stroke and fancy diving. Sinai's swimmers, who have been of championship caliber for several seasons, are considered probable winners of the meet. Amount the stars whom Coach Fckert has named for to-night's compe- tition will be M. Raphael, H. Leahey, H. Cohn, R. Greenberg, H. Lester, J. Por- ter, S. LaPook, S. Garmore, J. Moran and T. Schrader.
