1866 Monday, February 5 Cold blustering day A little more mild tonight - Now just returned from calling upon Mrs Nickershon - Found there Mrs Crabb and young Dr (Al) Rodman - Unclear by shillings + unclear glass of beer - Now been busy all day again in the office writing? + unclear among? the letters - Feel very well pleased as this examination has resulted in unclear a sum of about ten hundred dollars in my favor. Brought up from the unclear house an old desk for my papers. Did not mail my letter to day as I should have done they look decidedly unclear in the office.
