From the Oxforr Sausage

By dr Bacon who wrote in 1763 the following Lines. on the Bust of Milton, the Gardens of Ld Harcourt at Newsham -----

"Could MIlton be restor'd to sight, He might, at Good Lord Harcourt's Cost, See here with exquisite delight The Paradise Hiss Adam Lost"

Epitaph on a Lawyer Hic jacet Jacobus Straaw Who forty years follow'd the Law When he dyed the Devil cry'd "John, give us your paw."

In Claudum Poetam

Quam bene con veriunt intense carraen et autor Claudicat hoc humero Claudicat ille pede

How well the Author and His lines agree! Same as his numbers & a cripple He.
