St. Louis Apr. 18th 1858 Dear Sister Abby: I did not in- tend to delay so long in an- swering your last kind musing yet it has been so irrespon- sible [?] for me to do other ways It came just about the time of our Festival & Fair and the few days be- tween that & my going to Quincy were all occupied with sewing for Sarah which had to be done Since my return (a week ago last Thursday) we have been using every spare moment on
