All guests still [?]and simple as acctg, Getting out next to impossible -- Commercial (?) reading between one of Coopers novels "The last [?] -- [We are] not a very high opinion of it

Very pleasant today The General has been over all day up the riser to or near the town of Ashton --Rode out today & called report to secesh ladies in ride to hear them talk -- All friend us about going to Wash.City on businis relating other Negro

Another very pleasant day Experience Reminiscen [?]t come today & about course lost in four alarm and reprints a little parrish[?] near Greenville Peach trees in bloom in some places -- Rode out again to day to see what was going on
