1866 Wednesday, January 31. Finally succeeded in settling up the firm of which I was once a member, buying out both Patterson & Jenkins. Geo. ? Jenkins the accts of the firm [[?? ist] Geo. Reiston & Smith Andrews & Gene Pattison, a few old notes & $275.00 in money. Contracts were executed &c. deed of the lot & building made to me. I feel very well over the result. Worked hard all the day at the matter. Played ? with buyer &c. at night for a while.
