Head-Quarters, unclear of Fort Gibson March 27th 1869
A.A. Adjutant General District of the Indian-Territory
Sir!
I have the honor to forward herewith a communication from Captain Bryant, Sixth Infantry unclear Major U.S.A. relating to the course of Captain Aloord?, 10th Cavalry during the temporary stay of the latter at this unclear. Having made inquiries in regard to the stores procured by Captain Aloord?, during his stay, I am compelled to say, that they were excessive and not warranted by the necessities of his family (himself and wife) or the amount? on hand at this Station. His leaving the unclear, without authority, after having been placed? on arrest is highly subversive of discipline and should not pass unnoticed.
Very respectfully Your old Servant Des Floyd-Jones Colonel Sixth Infantry Commanding.
