afternoon it was so cold that it was most impossible to ride faceing the wind. Carroll hasn't been home from school since the holidays. To-morrow will be the most eventful and looked foward to with the most inter--est by all of the college students of Kansas, of all of the college year. It being the Annual Inter-collegiate Oratorical [coutes?] of Kansas. This year it will be held in the Whitley opera house, of Emporia under the management of the State Normal. Five colleges, the State Normal of Emporia and the State Uni-versity of Lawrence will be rep--resented.
