MEMORANDUM of March of the 1st Column from Camp on Fresh Fort of the Brazos.

September 20, 1874.

Broke camp at 6:15 A. M. , marched 12 o'clock M. at water on the plains

            At 2 o'clock and 30 minutes a

night previous, came in and reported by a party of Indians, and the and marched in the same direction Encamped for the night on one of the Distance marched thirty and one

               Friday, Septbr. 25., 1874 broke camp at 6 o'clock A. M. marched across the plains, West and West by North, about twenty miles to Tule canon, where the 1st Battalion went into camp and the 2nd. returned on the trail about five miles and went into camp; distance marched 25 miles.
