Dear Sister Cynthia,

   Do I owe you a letter?  I think I do although I am so irregular in writing that I often forget.  It is something now since I have heard from home and I am feeling anxious to hear again how mother is, and if her arm is getting along well as could be expected.  Please write as soon as you can and tell me how mother's arm is and how you all are.

How is father's health and has he any more trouble with that minister (I have forgotten the name). Please tell me about it when you write. This is the first of

(along the top) Hattie would write but she is so very busy, and will be till the term classes, in about three weeks. I you see much Henry please ask him if he received a letter from me. I wrote to him and aunt a short time ago but in dire [sting], forgot to put on the street or any thing to distinguish him from others of the same name, and perhaps he will not get it.
