Yale University New Haven, Connecticut 06520 American Studies Program

261 Canner Street New Haven, Conn. June 11, 1966

Mr. Jack Conroy 7027 S. Jeffrey Blvd. Chicago, ILL. 60649

Dear Mr. Conroy:
Thank you for your friendly response. The Parelman's have turned over West's manuscripts to me. I have a few of your letters in these

papers, and a couple copies of West's, including the one quoted by Richard Gehman. If you can turn up more, I'll appreciate it.

Perhaps you can be one of my guides to the 30's. I have read your excellent novel, The Disinherited. Where shall I go from here? *
   Yours sincerely, Jay March
