Dear Mother,

I received your letter yesterday and

it sure made me happy. Just homesick for any mail from home and do mother please write me often, doesn't Franky ever have any time to write. We are busy getting the act either ready for the States or Europe, as yet we have quite a few more weeks down here.

Well, your letter was quite newsy -

all the old cronies are marrying. Here's hoping they will [-] all be happy. The most I see of the world the less I think of matrimony. So Mildred was in H. burg. I would like to see her. Has she changed. By the way do any of the kids have long hair yer?
