The Fair The Fair is on the lake front from 18th street to 31st street. It can be reached by train, bus, car, or street-car. It took three years to build.

The Fair is gorgeous [splendifferous], but garish. The buildings are beautiful as well as the Fair.

At night time around 8.30 p.m. they light up the Fair by sending a [vary] from the Hall of Science to every point. Every-thing is beautifully lighted.

The colors are magnificent and very bright. It is like Fairy-land come true.

The sight of the lagoon in the center is very pretty for the eyes to see the motor boats, speed boats, and gondola to ride in.

They used to have a little bit of an Island for the planetarium but now they have a great big one for the Fair. It is called the Northerly Island.
