in two small tin pails, a tin cup, and, a small pan costing altogether the small sum of 90¢ !! & now we have washing tools in our own room - Last night we had another very good meeting - Mr. Gibson, a miner who is also the Methodist Preacher, came in & helped us - He is an earnest, sincere, good natured, cranky Methodist man & made a good speach on "See ye the Lord while he is near, Call ye upon him" etc Messers Vaughn Smith & Kettle also spoke. The meeting was good but we don't seem to be getting hold of the unconverted. These people are hard to start. Terribly indifferent after "gelt". Listen respectfully but but do nothing - This morning Mr. Kettle & I helped raise the framework of the new church - It seems good to see it begin to unclear up - We shall probably go to Red Cliff some time this week & stay a week at least, there. It is safest to send mail always to Care of C. W. Sanders 1356 So 13th St Denver. It will always get to me there & it might not, if sent some where else. I have spent too much time now writing I ought to be studying so Goodday Harl - How are you all? have you been to the Lake? For some reason I would rather be there than here. All water is ice- water here - & bad for bathing
