mail and a man came in with a boy 6 or 8 years old. He said the boy was leaving that morning for Boston or Wellesley. His father - a professor of somoething I take it was going there & would be much of the time in the Wellesley College library. My mail came and his turn at the P.O. window came & I had not no further words with him - but Ive known the man a long time and know he has a daughter but did no know if she had children or the name or her now - The boy was evidently his grandson. The man has a son - a graduate of West Point who is an engineer - I think - in the regular Army. I have not heard anything about the daughter for some time think I had heard she was married but did not know what her name is or what her husband does. The automobile is a great institution - They are here on the street every day from all over everywhere. [?} got a card from John from Munich dated 7117-30 with picture of the Passion Play Theatre. A ride along the lake shore from Cleveland to Lorraine now must be quite unlike a ride from Cleveland to Lorain 50 or 60 yrs ago say before people began to find out there was a lake there and before the Auto - Almost like a [?] up town all the way?
