Evening C. & wife are all agog for selling part of Farm however there is no danger given of thier having a chance if he should how would it effect my interest probably he couldn't get more than 50.0 for 2/3 off of the west part my ?, dower, inheritance, Patrimony, & Maintenance would be about 250, that about as much as could be made of it any other way I suppose
[upper left] I feel but very little interest or concern in the matter
Of E. is gone away you must see to Charles matter about Cow
[right-hand side] Mr. J.E. Godfrey spoke to Charles to send him a lot of Butter such as Charles had when he was there before and he intended to send it before perhaps he wont want it now - moreover the Butter is not perhaps quite as nice looking made later in the season but you can tell Mr. Godfrey to look at it if you think best This whole concern is small potatoes I recon goodbye
