Milo June 26 54 July 8 54 Cedar Grove June 26th 1854 My Dear Son, Your letter dated 11th june I got 22nd - How quick you did get b ack I should think it would be very hard travelling so fast & continually but you say you feel better for travelling - Doubtless you will feel lonely - you will know how to pity Albina She complains bitterly - I asked her if she thought it was harder for her to be parted from one of my chhildren so long than for me - she thought it was hard enough - I suppose Charles will have left you, before you get this - If he has not send him along at once for his Hay will be fit to cut about as early as usual - and he must repair his Barn a good deal before he can first hay into it but more than all that we are afraid of his getting sick Sam'l & Lucy, Nettie, Sabra, & the dear babies came up Wednesday 14th & return'd last the next Monday - So short a visit I did nt have time hardly to begin to enjoy them I feel quite unreconcil'd to it - I did so want to keep little Mayo till he could be acquainted and get to love me as my little ones do here - he is a good little boy physically smarter than Percie
