Dear Folks:

 Enclosed find X.   Had nice visit with Laura and Norine Sunday. Served chicken, mashed potato, peas, hot rolls, creampie with whipped cream atop, and coffee.

Would have had salad but had forgotten to buy lettuce. However, there was plenty of chicken (Oscar sent 2 small ones (total $2 00) so nobody went hungry.

 Am going in town to the theater with them next Monday evening. Do not know yet what we shall see. Max will take care of the children. Am playing at the

show tonight, and played yesterday's matinee. No company yesterday. Roast beef for dinner. Baked it too long. Very dried out. Had pumpkin pie from the p. given us by the Wests some time ago.

 Weighed Marvin this morning. 17 1/4 lbs. not bad. He wore his new sweater and bonnet to the bazaar, and did look to
